Eleanor Lutz is currently working at the Jeff Riffell lab in Washington University, researching the brain of mosquitos. But apart from being a scientist, she is a self-taught graphic designer who carries a side project called Tabletop Whale.
Said project combines both her passion for science and her love for design. She puts up complex yet beautiful infographics in which she explains several different phenomena, such as bioluminescence, maps of the planet Mars, or an animated gif depicting forty-two different species of North-American butterflies.
Her website is amazing, because you can learn new concepts and enjoy the beautiful illustrations at the same time. These jaw-dropping infographics make it difficult to believe it, but she learnt all of it on her own!
Follow her website for new updates and amazing design work!
